Why do people take their kids out when they're sick? 😠
My friend invited me and my kids over on Monday for a few hours so the kids could play ( her 3 and my 2) and we could have a drink and chill lol.
So her friend invited herself over as well. She has 2 kids, it was my first time meeting her but she was cool so it was fine. Except the girls youngest was sick with some bug and pink eye. She down played it till she got to my friends and we all realised it was quite bad. My friend even offered nicely to drop her home.
Now my youngest ended up sick vomiting all Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. Now she has pink eye.
I'm pissed, she knew her kid was ill. He should have been in bed. We've all got kids and she new that and came anyway. I've had to call out of work 2 days now, tomorrow will be the 3rd. Seriously I just think its selfish, how hard is it to stay home !😠😠😠

I would of been fuming and probably gone home my self. That’s so bad . Hope your little one feeL better soon x

I would have left as soon as I saw her kid. Don’t care if it’s rude or not. I hope your friend had a talk with her about common courtesy.

@rachaellw @cams Youre both right. I'm kicking myself that I didn't go home. If I did she would never have gotten sick.
Idk if she spoke to her friend about bringing her sick child around other people's children. I will be speaking to her about it, because it's not on.

@jellybeans33 it's so inconsiderate. It's something you just expect parents to know. KEEP YOUR KIDS HOME WHEN THEY'RE SICK!

The amount of parents that bring their sick kids in to nursery and down play/ lie or pretend their not sick always cease to amaze me. We have policies in place for a reason. I get it. Sick kid = time off work and still paying out for child care. I have to do it when mine are ill. It sucks. But my child's welfare comes first and common curtesy as you say for others is more important. Even if inconvenient lol
