@angelfoodcake, have you asked him why he is behaving this way? There is probably a cause for the issue. Did he just start daycare? Are the other kids being mean? Does he feel left out. It could be he’s acting out because he’s not going to be the baby any more.
@bigmama18 he was home with me until May of this - he does know about the new baby, from his comprehension level, that is. No probs reported until about the last 6 weeks.
@angelfoodcake, I just read your other reply. He may think that acting out will get him attention. Kids that young want attention and they don’t care if it’s good or negative. I’m sure he’s missing his mom. He’s trying to adjust to things. Take him out on a one -on-one date. I’m sure he will go back to his normal self.
@bigmama18 I actually pulled him out of the daycare today!! They keep saying he's being aggressive and we are not observing same at home.
He's no angel, but I believe they are frustrated with him and being extra.
Today was the last straw, they said a parent filed a complaint on him after he pushed her daughter off the water fountain and then jumped on her, then when the teacher removed him he kicked and punched the teacher.
They keep giving reports like this, which sound horrible. Yet when I do drop-ins and we're at home he's not doing it.
They Said the parent didn't intervene but was about too. Claims he's been "targeting" this little girl for weeks. Yet no one has said anything to me and they allowed him to be observed!! I didn't like it at all.
I feel like if he is acting out to this level, which again I don't believe to that degree, then obviously they can't handle him and we have some serious behavior issues to address. This saddens me deeply and worries me - very hard to correct when he's not doing it at home too.
@angelfoodcake, if he was truly “targeting” the little girl than it should of been handled weeks ago by them. And they should of informed you every time. They needed to separate them at all times if this was the case. I find it hard to believe a 3 year old is going to target one other child. Screaming and kicking. Yes! I believe that all day. He’s a toddler. They have tantrums. I would keep him out of there. If you want to try a different school I would. If not and he can stay at home with you or family I would do that as well. It’s not making sense that he acts like that at school but not home. My 3 year old is also very extra. But she’s extra everywhere. I think you did the right thing by pulling him out.
@bigmama18 Yes, they were like the little girl cry's and complains about Him often at home according to the parent.. . Really at 2-3 !!! I just don't see it. Then you the parent let it go on for weeks, the teachers don't address it, then you happen to come to the school and observe him. Not buying it and not leaving my baby in a position to be around a parent with a grudge.
He won't be going back! I believe he is a hand full. But I believe the teachers are extra and soft!!
I have to pull him out once I have the baby anyway but can't right now so actually taking him to new daycare tomorrow. Still nervous.

What types of issues is he having?
angelfoodcake·
@bigmama18 Not sharing and aggression towards teachers when being physically redirected and towards children, mostly taking toys away, etc.

@bigmama18 He doesn't comprehend "why" especially when I can't address the issue until he returns home.

@bigmama18 He's been at this school actually since the middle of April 2018 - before then he was at home with me only.
