I wasn’t planning on going out of work until I was at least 35 weeks or more , but the lifting has my back hurting so bad I can’t walk I’m pretty sure I can get short term disability through my job but it’s such a mess to get it all set up but honestly nobody at work will help with my lifts but one girl everyone else acts like I’m just trying to get out of doing work these people weight 120^ so it’s kinda a big deal to my doctor now and hes saying you know I gotta stop I’m just so frustrated but I understand he’s worried that since I’ve had 3 previous c sections that I could be risking myself more for a placenta abruption. Ugh just venting.

I decided to come out at 30 weeks my Short term is good for 26 weeks i was having really bad anxiety n at night i couldn’t sleep because i would b in so much pain from sittin all day n my feet would b so swollen i had to make a choice for me

@brittany88, yeah it’s getting to that point like who even wants to show up to work when co workers won’t help it’s not like I’m doing nothing they just don’t wanna have to lift anyone period they’ll act like I’m asking them to do the most. Like makes me not even wanna go back this is my baby’s life not me just being lazy .

i was 39 weeks when i stopped working and then had my baby the next day. if you have way to much pressure then i would take extra time off

@adri8192, I did with my last but I was working a easier job then no lifting etc. Plus at my old job my coworkers weren’t assholes.

@alyboo102293 i feel ya i was in a restaurant where i had to do lifting and none of the guys wanted to help but once my brother came and was the assistant manager he was the one helping me with the lifting

Hey- your and baby’s safety is worth the biggest mess of paperwork in the world!!! Please talk to your doctor and get what you need taken care of. Maybe they can put you on restricted duties, if that’s not possible they would have to understand you being off completely. Best of luck and take care!

@amysbabies, i understand that it takes about a month to get approved lol I was debating on just leaving out early and waiting on pay because of how ridiculous it’s getting

@alyboo102293, I have short term disability through my work as well- for me it’s they expect to be notified 30 days in advanced if at all possible, but regardless there is a 2 week waiting period you have to use sick leave for or not get paid and then the check isn’t cut instantly, but you will get it (a % of your pay). For us it doesn’t make a difference if we get put on disability same day or know 30 days in advanced, just obviously if you know you have to inform them then. But every place can be different!
