My baby has hand foot and mouth. Moms please help I am literally freaking out.

Lots of fluids and alternate Motrin and Tylenol

My son just had it. Don’t freak out. It’s a viral infection that will go away on its own — but it lasts for a while. It can be pretty uncomfortable & many kids won’t want to eat because of the sores in their mouth. Push fluids & give popsicles to help with the discomfort. It looks awful but it’s mild as far as illnesses go. It is highly contagious so you & everyone else should wash your hands frequently and disinfect surfaces.

Thanks. Im so sad. Im afraid of my big kids getting it and me getting it. And I need to work. And just seeing my baby in pain is the most hurtful thing ever.

If the bigger kids get it it’s more like a cold. It’s the younger ones that get it worse

Its like spreading all over her body. I washed all bed stuff. Disinfectant the whole house. Now she is rubbing everywhere trying to scratch it. Omg. This sucks.

There is not much you can do. Give alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen I think it’s every few hours if you switch back and fourth. She will be miserable for a while. One thing that happen to my son that’s pretty common is he lost a lot of his finger nails months later from it.

It’s a nasty thing
