I’ve been told by a few people that I should induce myself around 39 weeks. Idk how to feel about that. They kept saying bouncing on a yoga ball and sex. I can’t help to think that baby will come out when it’s ready....

No one ever said that to me, but if they did I'd tell them baby comes when he/she is ready.

Unless there's a medical concern being induced at 39 weeks is really unnecessary. Your due date is just an estimate and can be up to 2 weeks off either way. It's better to wait and let baby come on their own.

Your body won’t progress until it’s ready so there’s no point

I was induced at 39 weeks with my first I regretted it. Just let your body do what it has to.

My hospital wanted to induce at 39 weeks. I've already told them no. If I make it all the way to 39 weeks I don't see the point in rushing it. What's another 1 or 2 weeks?

Yes, baby will come when ready, I see you’re 31 weeks. By the time you get to 39 you might be feeling like you can’t take it one second longer. It doesn’t hurt to do some walking or get some sex in ;). I don’t think it will push you if you’re body is truly not ready, but if it’s getting there, it might help tip the scale. It’s completely your choice! But if you don’t have baby by 40 weeks, then I would do everything you can because you will be on a clock until you are medically induced at that time. Always better natural than medically—- well unless you truly need it :) (I was induced so I’m not saying anything negative!) note- I was induced at 39 weeks, but by 37 I could barely walk I was in so much pain and on top of that my skin was itching and burning and I was just falling apart! I wasn’t induced because of that, but if I could have I would have done some walking to push it along—- I physically couldn’t though!

Bouncing on a yoga ball actually doesn't induce labor, just helps baby into the birth canal. But I agree with you... baby will come when baby is ready.

Bouncing on a ball and having sex won't hurt you or baby though... it only works if your body is ready...
