did you have a c section with your first i'm not dilated yet & this is my first

@alaiyasmommy I didn't really dilate with either of my boys until I was actually in labor. No c sections. Both were born vaginally.

@alaiyasmommy, I had emergency c section with my first but before the c section was even going to happen I was in hospital for contractions and throwing up at first I didn’t know I was in labor they had checked me i wasn’t even dilated yet but was having contractions then they all these tests and ultrasounds they said I had to have a c section because baby weighed almost 10 pounds and I didn’t have anymore fluid around baby to make another week and then a few minutes later after having a contraction my daughter heart rate was going low so they said they wasn’t going to be responsible if she would get stuck because of her weight so I told them to do what they have to do for my daughter to come out healthy and since I had gestational diabetes with her it was a longer process to heal from c section but with this pregnancy my doctor said I could try for a vbac I’m getting induced next Wednesday on 15th at 7 pm

@optimusprimesmom, if I’m dilated to a 1 and let’s say I make it til next Wednesday does that mean they won’t have to put anything down there for me to dilate when I go for induction

@madalynnelenamom2016 No. I was induced with my 2nd. They will give you something to get you to dilate faster. Once you've started progressing, if contractions don't start on their own, they will give you pitocin. The medicine I had to kickstart dilation was given orally, but there are also medications that are given vaginally. It's all up to your doctor.
