So I got out of the shower and felt a leak. Which is normal for me because I just tend to have loads of discharge in this pregnancy (gross, sorry). I went and got on the toilet and went to pee. I immediately smelled something a bit off. I cant really describe the smell but I never smell anything when I pee. I looked at the toilet and its confusing because I did pee so I see urine. But then I see this clear looking liquid that seems to be on top of the urine, not necessarily mixed in.
Could this be my water leaking? Its been about an hour now and I've only had 2 BH contractions. I have always heard like you just know when your water is leaking so I'm assuming it probably isnt that and maybe it's just my hormones made my urine smell weird this morning. Idk!

I would tell her that you think you're leaking fluid and would feel better if you were checked out. If she tries to downplay it, go straight to triage.
Okay I will call! I just hate talking to the nurse because shes rude and downplays when I have concerns and blows me off. When I call they dont have me talk to the doctor, just the nurse. And the nurse practitioner I like is out on vacation too so itll be the nurse I have to speak with 😣 @nschlegel @momtwo4 I definitely dont want to risk the babys safety thats for sure
You need to go be seen asap .!!! Don't wait and don't think your bothering the Dr its there job.
@rachael.mei the only reason why I said what I said is because my doc has told me many times that if I have any suspicion of leaking to call. That the mine & the baby's well-being trumps him being "bothered" with what someone else considers "not necessary." I went in at 28w thinking I was having contractions (I'm on my 3rd kid) and it was just gas. I apologized to him more times than I can count. He assured me that what I did was a good thing. That's what triage is for... that's what the call line is for.
@nschlegel I hate calling them when I'm going to be seen in the morning. But I talked to my boss and her water broke in the pool so she had no idea and it was 8 hours before she ever got contractions. And since she didnt think her water broke, she waited til the morning when contractions got closer together and then they found out her water had been broken! Made it into an emergency which I definitely want to avoid. But I don't want to be one of those who bugs the doc non stop and they've already tested me twice from leaks I've had before and it came back as just discharge
@rachael.mei, huh. It could've been some heavy discharge...when do you go back to the doctor?
@nomli I put on a pad and so far theres nothing on it and I went to pee again and didnt smell anything so idk what's going on!
If you have any suspicion of leaking, you should call...
My sister leaked for two days and didn't realize it. If you fill a pad in like an hour or two you should call.
Shouldn't it be like consistently leaking if that's the case? I'm going to go put a pad on so I can see if anything else comes out but I havent had anything yet
@rachael.mei So go to the hospital and let them know you believe your leaking fluid. Trust me I just had my baby 4 days ago I was leaking fluid its not good to wait .
