Soo I'm a FTM and my doctor NEVER brought up tDap booster shot. And I've been reading about it and it seems really important but also that it was supposed to have been done weeks ago. I'm having a bit of a freak out over it because I want my baby to be healthy and I feel like my doc is so negligent. Does anyone know if I can still get it although I'm 38 weeks? I dont see my doc for another 2 days to ask her about all of it
@prettyflower1033 ссылка you can go to the CDC page to read more about it!
@prettyflower1033 it's to help protect them against whooping cough! Basically they cant get a booster for it til there a couple of months old. While they're so little, their little bodies cant fight it off and then they havent had a shot to help protect them against it. And some adults can carry it without even knowing and think it's just like a common cold or something like that. It can be really dangerous for babies and put them in the hospital (it's also been fatal but only like 5 to 15 deaths a year). So you get it while pregnant to get a little bit of that protection into them. And then like anyone who is in constant contact with the baby should get it too
@babymay2016 well I hate calling my doc office when I see them every week so I'm just waiting to ask her on Thursday! Just wanted to hear others experience!
@rachael.mei Hey I'm wondering what's the Shot for. My doctor never mention it either..
I was never told about it either, until I gave birth. Both my fiance and myself had it done at the hospital.
I think it may be too late but you can get it right after baby is born. And why not just call and ask?
@dallaslund5 and @bigmama18 okay thank you!! I've been a nervous wreck thinking that I cant get it now and she wont get what she needs from it if I did try to rush and go get it before she gets here
@rachael.mei thanks
