Anyone who may be curious on a further update on my hospital situation: things are clearing up for me, but they are not seeing baby perk up the way they want. So they are going to do another ultrasound at 8 tonight and they are thinking they may also do a C-section tonight.
I am so scared, I'm only 35 weeks in this hospital in tears. They have given me a steroid to help strengthen her lungs and because this is a month early she may have to stay in the nursery longer. But I am just sitting here trying to wrap my head around all of this trying not to lose my mind...
@smm9391 awh!! Congratulations momma!! I figured they would since she was gonna be a tad early and greenville is better equipped to deal with that stuff! I'm so glad y'all are doing okay and please keep us updated! 💖 I wish someone would have told me but greenville is a teaching hospital, they do have students and such SO my advice would be to tell them to note you want no students touching baby! They'll probally tell you when shes discharged to come to the night pediatric clinic (they did with mine) and its just unnecessary pain to baby. They did the joint/hip check with the student and exam...and then the main pediatrician had to come in and do it all again, same thing happened in the hospital with the pediatrician and his student. So just go ahead and spare yourself that girl lol! They told me AFTER I could have opted out of having students. You and baby girl is in my thoughts 💖👑
@not_a_newbie they are sending baby and I to Greenville tonight. C-section was successful but baby is anemic and had some trouble breathing. They said the C-section was the best thing to do considering the stress she was under
@smm9391 it was a absolutely perfect time in greenville💖unfortunately I cant say the same for my sons delivery here!! have my fingers crossed for you and your sweet baby! Everything will be fine momma 😘💖
@not_a_newbie everyone here has been so helpful so far and I do trust them to provide the best care necessary. This is just so nerve wracking. I have been to Greenville for scans in the past and them seem very well equipped so I imagine your experience there was also wonderful
Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement, I'm trying my best to remain calm. Hopefully she will stop being stressed when they get her out, that's my main concern out of all of this. They did say she may need to spend some additional time in the nursery but I trust them to provide necessary care
I gave birth at exactly 36 weeks my daughter was in the nicu for about 5 days 2 were in a transitional room where I cared for her and that's cause I said I didn't feel comfortable bringing her home . Hopefully you will have an even better experience if that's what has to happen . 35 weeks isn't too early and there's not as much to worry about !
Prayers !!
Prayers 🙏🏻 I know this may not make you feel completely better, but my little girl was born at 35 weeks and only spent 4 days in the nicu!
It may be a bit early for her but she will be OK of she needs to come tonight. The nurses will take good care of her and give her everything she needs. She will be in the nicu for a bit but it'll be best for her. At this point she's better off on the outside than in. Just have faith in the hospital and the doctors and nurses. Don't stress out, it wont do you any good. Everything will be ok
Hoping everything is still going well!! Been thinking of you and your baby!
