Hey moms of older kids. What are some ways you get your kids to brush their teeth. I am in the bathroom with my daughter brushing at same time, but she just plays in tbe sink. At a loss of how to get her to brush.

Put something icky tasting on her teeth so she will want to brush it off😂. Okay no, semi-kidding. You could try turning it into a game, my baby sister always did things better when we made it fun. Playing music and doing some dances, rewards after, who can do it better etc.

I read that you have to brush your kid's teeth until they're about 8 years old!

I would brush them for her until she does on her own. Chances are she will start to very soon! I think it’s the 5 year old you are talking about- which is what my response is for :). Good luck! If not now, surely in a year or so she will get with the picture.
