Hello, it is damn near impossible to cut my 7 month old son's nails! I have to get my boyfriend to hold him down so I can do it. I've already cut his fingers twice because he fights me so much. He really needs to have them cut right now. Do any of you ladies know any tricks or suggestions for me to try?? I've tried EVERYTHING! HELPPPPP!

My son fights me too, acts like hes being tortured 😒 i put him in my lap with his back against my chest, so that way i can tuck one of his arms under mine to keep him from swatting and still hold the other arm while im trimming. I hope that makes sense 😅 also, i never cut them all the way down, because its inevitable that he will jerk around, i just go about half way and then file down the rest. Ive also got his little finger once before thats why i started filing
I cut my daughters while she is sleeping, it’s the only way that works for me.
I used to give her puffs while I cut her nails. While one hand was occupied, I’d cut her nails on the other.
@kerryy23 Yeah I tried that. That's actually another issue I need advice on, lol. Any little sound wakes him up, it sucks
I use a nail file instead of the clippers. It may take a bit longer but I can honestly say I've never cut my baby's finger because of it!
While he's sleeping? That was the best way when my boy was little, he sits and let's me do it now though
