My tattoo artist put this wrap on my arm which is normal BUT she said to keep it on from 24hr-3 DAYS is that normal? Never heard of leaving it on that long..
@mommy_of_2_girls, I heal mine very differently from most people. However, I never let my artist put that shit on me anymore. 😂 I use tegaderm/saniderm bandages on my tattoos now. It’s the same bandages they put on you when you get an IV in the hospital.
@mommy_of_2_girls, I use this stuff. You can get it from any pharmacy store. I usually buy from Walgreens or CVS. I usually wait until the next morning after my tattoo to put it on. I wash it realllllly good, make sure that it’s 100% dry and not oozing, and then I apply it. I then leave that bandage on for 4-5 days, UNLESS it gets so filled with plasma that it begins to leak out of the bandage. If it does that, I’ll get in the shower and remove it, clean it again, wait for it to completely dry, and apply again for 2-3 days. A little bit of plasma is normal. Usually when there’s just a little bit of plasma (and not a giant bubble looking like a blister about to explode) I wait for the plasma to dry up inside the bandage before I remove it and keep it off. From there I usually begin using lotion 2x a day for a few days. Using tegaderm is so much easier, because it’s less messy, painful, and heals your tattoos beautifully. Only con is it’s not cheap, especially if you get big tattoos (which I often do).
