I've been thinking about getting a doula/midwife I am pretty unfamiliar with everything that they do as I know atleast for doulas you can have them for many different parts of pregnancy and after. I'd love to hear of ones that helped you in labor and if they were worth the price! I have no family where I moved (5 hours away) and my hubs is so very supportive but worried of how he will be when the big day comes! I feel like he will be nervous which in turn will put more stress on me lol I'd love someone there I know I can 100% count on and not someone I've just met, they sound wonderful but sounding and being are 2 different things! Thanks for anyone who shares their experience♡

My husband actually wanted to hire her the most to help guide us both through the most natural positive labor experience possible! :) We interviewed our doula (the 1st was a no due to lack of experience) but our current one is already phenomenal and we haven't even had our little guy yet. She has 5 kids and here last 4 were all accompanied by doulas. It's great because she is there to help me but also coach my husband, support both of us, and ensure the best labor outcome possible. She also helped me with my birth plan and will make sure that it is adhered to so I don't have to worry!

My doula was amazing and helped me get through an all natural birth with no pain meds and she helped me breathe and stay calm during contractions.
