When you say tablets do you mean cervidil or cytotec? I was induced with both with my last baby. Cervidil did absolutely nothing but the cytotec worked fairly quickly. I was already having contractions before they induced me but I wasnt dilating. I think about a couple hours after putting in the cytotec they gave me my epidural and broke my water. I went from about a 3 to 9cm in about 20 minutes. Not going to lie it was painful. Thankfully I never needed pitocin. As for the GBS it's not really anything to worry about. After your water breaks or they break it they'll give you an antibiotic in your iv.

Cytotec worked better for me when inserted vaginally. I took them oral and it did nothing. The cervidil 😱😱😱🤬🤬🤬🤬 avoid that if you can. The insertion hurts BAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD! They wrapped it around my cervix and I wasn’t allowed to get up for two hours. If the string it’s attached to comes out the have to reposition it back in. Again that hurt like fucking hell. 🤬🤬🤬 I ended up in a C-section. 🤬🤬🤬 group b strep is just antibiotics through the iv so that’s easy.

As for pitocin it makes the contractions worse.

Don’t let my experience scare you, just ask questions and make sure they inform you on status. You’ll do fine! You got this!! 💪💪

I was induced with my 2nd and was also GBP positive. So I went into the hospital around 6am they started me on IV fluids. Then thy started an antibiotic. I needed 2 doses of the antibiotics before they would break my water. Pitocin was started around 9-10am then I got an epidural around 12pm. Took a little nap because I was literally up all the night before so anxious. After my 2nd dose of antibiotics then broke my water. Then at 2:30pm I was checked and 10cm’s and ready to push. I couldn’t even believe it. Then my son was born at 2:44pm!! It was so fast and easy. Hope u have a similar experience. It was the easiest delivery. We were taking polls on the baby’s gender as I was pushing. I was laughing and talking while pushing. I felt almost nothing. I had a great experience with induction. Like u my first sort of came on his own. My water started leaking at 4am 3 days past my due date. I did get pitocin with my 1st because I wasn’t progressing. Labor and delivery was much longer with him. So the induction was a breeze compared to my first child’s birth. I was also GBS negative with my first and positive with my 2nd. Good luck!! Also I didn’t have to get the pill. That’s the one they insert vaginally right? I was going to be induced on a Friday but the ob wanted to wait till Monday to avoid the pill thing. I’m so happy with how my induction went to be honest. It was very calm and somewhat relaxing. Granted that was after the epidural lol. Because the pitocin hit me like a Mac truck!! Made my contractions insanely intense

I was induced with my first. They broke my water and inserted cervidil and started pitocin. I slept most the time and woke up and asked to be checked and was 9 1/2 almost 10. Fastest delivery I had and it was only 3 hours. I have no experience with GBS.

I was induced 3 times. The only time anything ever went wrong dd3 passed maconim. But it was time to push so it was fast dd was fine. I had cytotec with my first induction and it didn't help at all. In all honesty everyone says contractions are worse with pitocin but I didn't feel a difference going in on my own. It all hurts like hell!
