I have a swollen external hemorrhoid need help ok what to do going to the doctors didn't help

I've got 1 from my first pregnancy and now I have another one this time around and it is so painful

My dr said use Witch hazel and preparation H ... that's about all they can do for it right now

But I also read that aloe Vera gel is good for inflammation so I have been wetting cotton balls and coating it with aloe V and freezing them and after they freed stick it on there in ur undies and leave it works like an ice pack it's super cold at first but it's been helping

I went to the ER for mine and they were going to cut it open to relieve the pressure, but since I was going on a plane the next day they didn't want to. It burst the next day on its own and oh the relief! None of the OTC stuff I had tried prior to the ER made it any better.

@nomli they won't do anything said I have 2 wait for to give birth it hurts

@hct291997, that sucks. I was barely 13 weeks when I went for mine, so maybe it was because I was so early? I couldn't even sleep it hurt so much, and the pain made me vomit. I was prescribed percocet (cleared by my OB) for the pain, but I was scared to take it, so I only took it twice, once in the hospital and once on the plane.

We did get a funny pillow for me to sit on, with a hole in the middle, so I wouldn't sit on it. Apparently regular sitting makes it worse, so lay on your side if you can. But standing for too long can make it worse, too, I think, so we're basically screwed.

@nomli Lord I can't walk I want to crawl I lay on my side but if I switch sides I'm screaming then lil baby wants to sit on my bladder making it hard to do anything

@hct291997, yeah, if I wasn't moving it was bearable, but the second I moved it was excruciating.

Maybe get a second opinion? Ten more weeks, I can't even imagine anyone would let you deal with that much pain for that long. The ER doctor said it was a local anesthetic and over in minutes, and that I'd be good in a day or two.

I didn't know you could get them removed! I have 2 and I want them gone so bad.
