It's not required but it's a good idea to do it 😊 you never know

That’s a normal test ..it’s a finger prick that’s all

In NY they test at one and two years old. At her one year appointment DD had the finger prick and it came back high, so they verified by sending us to have her blood drawn which confirmed it. They proceeded to test her at her subsequent appointments to make sure her levels were dropping and just had us do blood draws right off the bat for them since it is more accurate.

I’ve declined it at every appointment for my daughter. They want to do a blood draw through the arm and I’m not going to put my daughter through that at such a young age.
