With mirena I spotted everytime I worked out or had sex. After 18 months it lodged in my cervix, I got pregnant had to have the iud surgically removed. I then found out the pregnancy was in my tube (very common with iud) and then had to have 2 rounds of chemo drugs to dissolve the pregnancy. I have nothing on nexplanon is unavailable in Canada as it hasn’t met our health standards to me that says enough.
I have Mirena. Stopped having periods all together after the first month and had some side effects for the first few months (bad head aches, nausea, bloating) Pregnancy symptoms basically without being pregnant. Most of the side effects have subsided by now and still no period.
I had the Mirena. I liked it okay when i had it but they placed it in way to early so it feel out when everything shifted back to normal. It also gave me huge knots under my skin. I've got the Nexplanon now and I love it. It's awesome. No breakouts from it. I get my period only sometimes most of them time it's just light spotting not a period. No weight gain on either so far. I do get headaches a tad more but that is a side effect with the Nexplanon
