What's your definition of the ultimate betrayal?

What kind of betrayal we talking about? I've been through quite a few either with romantic relationships or family and friends.

@qwiona, @babymamamoore, my boyfriend had an agreement he was not suppose to do this certain thing and he did. I don’t really feel comfortable saying what but to me it is worse than him cheating on me... we live together how do I get past this

Yes I have. 3 different occasions. Friend, family and relationship. I moved on. It was best to just do so. If you love with the person then it may dwell on to bigger mess or if that is something you can face each day and forgive then it will be a thing of the past.

@icebergahead, I feel like if I let this go I will hate myself

If it's not something you can ever see yourself fully forgiving him for than I would just move on altogether. Otherwise, it may just continue to cause turmoil between you both.

@mommynmotion I won't pry for more details, I totally understand what you mean. If this is his first betrayal towards you and you feel that you truly do want to move on from it, it'll require you two having completely open conversations about why he did whatever he did, he must understand that you saw it as a betrayal and be respectful of your boundaries in the relationship. If he's unable to be open and admit where he wronged you, I personally wouldn't see a reason to put myself through continuing on with the relationship. That's just how I have dealt with betrayal in the past. Every single boyfriend in my past cheated on me. I cut it off abruptly as soon as I found out, every time. I became accustomed to immediately breaking up as soon as I found out, and never talking about it because I was humiliated. That may or may not have been a mistake on my part, because I never did receive closure when it comes to why they did that to me. I started to question my own self worth because I never understood why. If you feel you want to hear his reasoning and you want to have closure, you should talk to him about it and let him know how its really affecting you. If he respects you, he'll be understanding and accept responsibility for whatever he did. It could give you a really good chance at being on the same page with him and moving past it together.

Infidelity and being set up are the ultimate betrayals. There really isn't any betrayal worse than these.
