Yes. They should need a medical reason to justify it.

@just.dulce, does he have a reason? Are your fluids getting low or your blood pressure rising? Or is he concerned about the babies size vs your pelvic size? If there is no concern of anything then he should let you go a week or two more. Maybe check and see if he didn’t explain something.

@amysbabies he told me everything is looking fine and healthy but he wants to induce me if I don't give birth within the week August 11th is my due date and I'm still at 1cm for 2 weeks now

@just.dulce, oh man, hmm. Well I would ask him. If he can’t provide a good reason I would kindly but firmly explain I want to wait, if it poses no risk to either you or the baby.

I would refuse until at least 41 weeks. I was induced at 41 weeks 3 days and it was awful. The risk for still birth doesn’t increase until after 42 weeks not 40 🙄 and still birth is not the same as SIDS. (SIDS they have to be alive outside of the womb)

I was induced at 39 weeks. No medically reason on why. My body was super done but baby was perfectly fine. While being induced I went into labor so either way Jackson was due to come that day
