Hi everyone!! I had ultrasound today and found out it’s a girl . I am so excited and happy for my baby girl. But, I am afraid telling it to my MIL. She wanted it to be boy. I don’t know if she will love her as she would love if it’s a boy.

Also, my husband is happy though , yet seems like he also wanted a boy. He is not saying anything but I can say it with his expression. But, the thing that I don’t like he was a bit disappointed when doc said it’s a girl.

Why everyone thinks there should be a boy always???

They'll be fine and accepting. A healthy baby is better then either sex of the baby.

He's human. He's allowed to feel disappointment when his baby is not the gender he was hoping it'd be. He will love her no matter what. So will the MIL.

Yeah I hope they will.. I didn’t think about boy or girl until I had ultrasound, I just wanted a healthy baby as it is my first pregnancy. But now I am so excited knowing having girl and thinking about nursery..

I just need my husband’s support, and others (In-Laws) will come around with time.

Oh I’m sure she will be thrilled! Girls are so fun to shop for. If not, just give her a few weeks. The whole boy thing comes from passing down the name, etc.

Yeah gender disappointment is a thing, and just give him time to process it.

My hubby wanted A boy and we got two girls but he loves them just the same. Give your hubby some time for it to sink in. And when he holds his baby girl the world will melt away and there will be no thought about a boy. 🖤
