Who’s gotten the IUD for 5 years? Pros and cons? Or your experience... nothing negative please just…

@spookylyn, does it make you gain weight? My doctor said it’ll give me the hormones what does she mean with that?

I’ve had two! And plan on another after this baby as well.

I loved not having to worry, I had no period.

For every bad experience I’ve heard, I personally know 45+ women who have had nothing but good experiences with it.

You get crampy for a couple days after insertion but afterwards it’s a breeze. And taking it out wasn’t bad at all either!

I’ve also had no weight gain from it. Any weight I gained was due to me just eating a lot and not being healthy. Nothing related to the IUD

@day1401, ima get mine till September cuz my doctor wants me to be completely healed but I’m scared since I’ve read so much bad things of it

@blessedmommy-2, with everything that’s inserted into your body, especially in that area there will be risks. I was terrified when I got my first one and went in anytime I thought I had pain related to it, but it was always something unrelated.

Obviously there are some really bad stories and bad things that do happen, but honestly for every bad experience, there are hundreds more good ones that people don’t talk about.
