They can do a swab for you at the hospital to test you.

My sister leaked for two days and thought it was pee or sweat. Hers was a very slow leak but dropped her fluid by half. (She was high risk and had two visits per week at that point so they caught it before she lost all her fluid.)

It's a swab they do. I had it done but wasn't leaking fluid.

@nomli Yeah that's what I thought was it was just sweat, and I am fairly certain I am not peeing myself. I really just haven't had that problem at all this go around

@nomli I been having pretty bad "lightening crotch" and feeling like I am going to pee, but I haven't. Contractions but not ever consistent enough to time. Slightly hugh blood pressure but then it goes back down. And wet panties

She was having contractions, too, but they weren't enough for her to think anything, and she had been cleaning the day before so assumed the pain was from doing too much. Her blood pressure was almost always high.

@nomli Dang. I don't want to be dramatic or anything but I am feeling pretty uncomfortable and rather be safe than sorry. I think I will go in soon

That's what I did! Went to L&D at like 3am, thinking I was in labor. Got sent home around 9am because I wasn't dilating fast enough, but I'd rather be safe. Wound up back the next morning and had my son.

Definitely go in. I was leaking but wasn’t having contractions that were strong enough to dilate. It was basically just Braxton Hicks. It’s so worth it to just get checked

Don't know if it's different here (UK) but they ask you to wear a pad and when you get to the hospital you hand them the pad and they swab it to check. I've never known them swab your vagina, must be a US thing.. I knew it was my water 100% though as I had a constant trickle soaking a pad every ten minutes
