I'm from MA, had an ex that lived in Dorchester and I also lived for a while in Boston area myself. I'm not sure if I could be of any help with some things, but tag me here and I'll see if i can help. Worth a shot!:)

@swedishmomma great! How does the law applies with having an Alabama resident go to school there? I mean my son is an Alabama resident and will be attending school for one year up there but I'm hearing that joint custody got to be established for him to go to school up there per Dorchester law.

@mykidzaremylife i honestly do not know personally. I've never had kids myself in the public school system in MA. I would just call some of the public schools for information, someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

@mykidzaremylife, I think they have to establish residency there or something. Like prove they live there but I doubt you have to do joint custody. But call the school they should be able to tell you
