It’s harder in some car seats than others, but that’s how I do it as well and it works in every car seat I have tried. Good suggestions @laniejay

@laniejay, I’ve been wondering how to get rid of the slack in the bottom part of the straps! Glad I read this, thanks!
What a doll! If you push the chest clip all the way down, tighten the straps and then pull it up and tighten if needed again- it’ll eliminate the slack under the chest clip. Also it can go a bit lower- as my son yells to me -nipple level.
Lol woops forgot to add we weren’t moving and I fixed it before leaving since daddy buckled her in🙈 I just can’t adjust from the side of a lifted truck
