So we are naming our son Emilio after his grandpa (my husbands step-father) well his parents got a divorce (we knew this when we chose the name) but he is still the man who raised my husband and I wanted to honor that. However for some reason recently (past 5 months) he hasn’t replied to texts or Facebook messages. It’s showing that he is reading them. He also works In the same factory as my husband and he says he doesn’t pay him any attention, like looks away when he waves etc. The only thing we can think of that would cause this was the fact that we didn’t invite him to the baby shower... but we didn’t invite my dad either. It’s a baby shower it’s not for men really. But we think he viewed it as we invited his Ex-wife but not him. I messaged him before and after the shower to explain this also. We have tried reaching out to him at least 8 times through different methods and he just blows us off. I understand he is dealing with a lot (Chris’s brother also committed suicide 3 months after their parents divorced) but I just want him to be apart of his grandchildren’s lives. 6 days till this baby is here and I can’t get him to connect with us at all.
