New cat the neighbors left behind when they moved and we all felt bad for, attacked me while making a glass of chocolate milk yesterday, got bit by cats a billion times but it bit me in the hand and it hurt real bad. Woke up to it swollen and red. Ofcourse I've been cleaning it. Hubs wants me to go get checked out but everything online I read said that it poses no risk to the baby. The bite doesnt look bad at all but it had to hit something in my hand. Would you go to the doctors or give it a day or 2?

Cats carry diseases and who knows what else. I’d go get checked out to be safe!

Go to the Dr! I got bit by my cat and my dr was telling me how bad cat bites are. He was impressed that I didn't already have an infection. So call them and tell them you got bit.

Go. Now. My “FIL” got scratched by their cat and almost lost his hand as a result. Hospitalized for over a week.

I called my doctor and she said to not go in unless it is oozing/swelling worsens or pain continues for more than 2 days.. blah

Don’t they say to always go to the doctor from a cat bite because of all the bacteria in their mouths? You can get a bad infection if you don’t get antibiotics

I wouldn't go in unless it was infected. There's probably not much they can do anyway. I can't see how it could possibly harm the baby unless the cat had rabies or something.
