So mommies I need help. Likely I won’t get any BUT no matter what I do my scalp ALWAYS itches(I do not have lice I did YEARS ago so Ik what that’s like) it only itches in certain spots and I notice I have like these small bumps ALL OVER my scalp near my neck and then the sides of my head near my ears itches a lot. I can wash my hair 3 times a week and it still
Is like this. I bought deep moisture shampoo and conditioner and I like it but it’s not helping my scalp like I thought it would. Idk what to do, washing my hair every day is a no no because that’s extremely bad for your hair so I can’t just do that every single day just to stop being itchy or my hair will dry up and fall off 😭😭😭

Tea tree oil helps alot
Even coconut oil only on dry spots will help

This happens to me always around the time I get my period so Iv always thought it was hormones..mine goes away after the week. I haven’t used anything or do anything special unfortunately and just let it run its course..but I know how you feel.

@spookylyn, I’ve switched up shampoo and conditioner a lot to try and see what my hair likes best and my scalp hasn’t changed.

@npie, it’s like this all the time 😭😭😭 except the first day or 2 that I wash my hair but even then I feel like a couple hours after I’ve washed it or the next day I’m all itchy again 😭

@mrs.letty.luna, I used to use coconut oil in my hair every day! Maybe I’ll try that again!

I actually get something I think might be the same as this if I'm understanding correctly. Tea tree oil does help! I can't give you an answer on what it is because I've never figured it out, but tea tree oil has helped me a lot and also using less shampoo and less conditioner. I have a lot of hair and my hair is thick so I didn't think I could get away with using less, but it's worked for me.

Use some tea tree oil on your scalp, it will help with the itching. You could have psoriasis, so make an appointment with a dermatologist and get your scalp checked out.

@queenmeeks, can you just get psoriasis randomly though? I’ve never had it before but it’s crossed my mind I just didn’t know if it was something that just pops up and doesn’t leave. And trust me it’s bothering me so much I’m about to call my dr 😭

@noahs.mommy yes it can develop over time.

Go see a dermatologist if you can. They can diagnose and treat you. Sounds like a skin condition.
