I always go a humane route with trapping and release due to personal preference.. however peanut is the absolute best bait I’ve come across catching mice, camel crickets, etc.

Never a mouse but if it’s not huge I’d say this would work. Though someone has to be the one to peel the mouse off or properly dispose. It’s a little more crafty than regular traps.

If you know where it is running get a glue trap by Tom cat. That's what we used. They get stick on there and can't get off.
