Thank you so much mamas... just concerned with my second one on the way and I definitely want to do all that I can to breast feed with her !! Simply because I couldn’t with my baby boy; my fault of course because I had my boobs pierced 🤦🏻♀️🙄 not knowing any better and how the healing process was gonna go afterwards and how it was gonna affect my milk supply / the latching on!!
But I have heard about mothers milk tea @angelfoodcake, but I read that it gives the baby colic etc. it got a lot of negative feedback but I heard it definitely helps !
@angelfoodcake some say it works others say they do but when it comes to supplements you have to be careful especially when it comes to some women having blood sugar issues or blood pressure issues etc it can be dangerous. So always consult with your doctor before trying any. You can also try power pumping to increase supply as well. I've power pumped and brought my supply up from 1oz in 24hours to 13oz in 20mins it took me 3 days to do that when my son got sick and refused to nurse.
@adrienalexandertorres420 you're welcome hun! As long as you are informed and have support you'll have a great nursing relationship. See if you can find a lactation consultant and talk to the one in the hospital when you deliver, WIC offices have one for free as well.
@angelfoodcake you're welcome. So my recommendation would be to power pump. Don't go longer than 2 hours without pumping and pick one hour to power pump. Pump for 20mins, rest 10mins, pump for 10mins, rest for 10mins, pump 10mins. Then over a day you'll start to see some change by day 2-3 you'll definitely notice it. Then once supply is established no need to pump and just latch baby on demand.

Only way to produce breast milk is to latch your baby as much as possible. You have to remove the milk to produce more milk.
