It’s a long shot here but if you know any of the laws regarding apartment living read on :
So my mom, boyfriend and baby live in an apartment. My mom doesn’t smoke cigarettes, but my boyfriend and I do. For the first couple weeks we were here we were smoking out on our porch. Then we got a notice reminding us that that’s not allowed, which irritated me because my mom and I specifically read through the lease agreement and it doesn’t mention that smoking on the porch is not allowed, all it says is that if you do smoke INSIDE the apartment, against the rules, you have to pay for the apartment walls to get re-painted. (Side note: we have personally seen people smoking on the porch multiple times in the same building that we live in) .. anyways, that is the only thing it mentions about smoking at all in the lease. So, we stopped smoking on the porch and started going downstairs in the parking lot. Well we just got a notice today saying we broke the lease agreement by “disposing of cigarette buds improperly by throwing them on the ground” well here’s where things get tricky. My boyfriend and I have never thrown our buds on the ground because in fact, there is a built in ashtray on the side of the walkway that leads to the building. So that’s where we put our buds. Is it legal for them to evict us on JUST heresay from another tenant of the apartment? They don’t have cameras outside so there’s not proof that we did it. I’m just worried and don’t want to move again because of somebody’s bad will against us!

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
