@its.a.bird, I am high risk, unfortunately I have to take the weekly shots because of it.

They started me after the glucose test so around 30ish weeks

@mommytotheo, they’ll probably start me around that time too. I’ll be asking tomorrow.

@its.a.bird, I don’t go in weekly because they let me bring them home cause my fiancé does them for me, they’re the ones with the makena already in them. ( sooo much easier than the vials where you have to get the shot in the bum) Last time I went and seen the high risk dr he said at 28 weeks they wanted my dr to start giving me ultrasounds every visit to see how the baby is doing and if she’s growing right.

@its.a.bird, I’ve only seen mine once this pregnancy but my dr is kinda like a high risk dr in his own way, he deals with a bunch of high risk patients and he’s literally the best dr in my area, and yeah the butt ones hurt, don’t get me wrong I still get a bruise on my arm from the ones I get now but the needle isn’t as big or so I think lol. I’ll ask tomorrow and see if that’s what he was talking about though

@its.a.bird, my first baby was born at 23.4 weeks, she only lived 10 days unfortunately some sort of infection took her away from me. It only took a day for it to set in and get her too, my daughter was born at 36 weeks, it was like the week after the shots stopped I went in for my 36 week checkup and was already 6/7 cm dilated.
