I completely get it just seeing past experiences with my mom (who past away from sickle cell) the entire experience wasnt good at all. I just was very surprised that the way they handled things there was different from what I'm accustom to. And was a little upsetting for me.

@firsttimemommy2019, When you go to an ER for chest pain you can expect a couple of things. 1) you’re there for chest pain, you’re DEF getting an IV. This is bc if you should happen to die, they have access to save your life. 2) You will def be there for at least three hours bc that’s how long it takes to check the cardiac specific enzymes to see if you have any cardiac damage.
People come to the ER and they don’t understand these things. They just want to call us slow and say the service sucks. I have to explain these things to people every single day. It’s an ER, not an urgent care. At urgent cares, they start with the simplest things and work their way up. At an ER, we start with the worst possible and rule those out before working our way down.
Interesting. Yeah I mean as soon as I went into the er they gave me an iv no fluids just wanted to put the needle in. Dumb! But took forever just walked out. So upset
They didn't force me to have an IV, I didn't want to be wheelchaired everywhere so they let me walk, the nurses were super nice. No one came in uninvited.
@owenjacesmama went there for chest pains and was there over 3 hours! Service was so slow. Honestly was disappointed not sure if I want to deliver there now...
