I only tested due to my symptoms that I've been having since last Saturday. I don't even know when I ovulated.

Symptom spotting is the worst!

@k_nc but it doesn't work that way for everyone. If you wait until you know for a FACT you are late when you see one or two lines you can be more confident about the results.

@mhbb3, I just think it’s comforting for some people. Not everyone symptom spots or has line eyes either.. when you’re actively trying it’s hard to not want to know right away so if that’s what people need to do for their sanity I don’t see a problem with it but that’s just my opinion

but is it really comforting to post a clearly negative test before you've even missed your period and then have users say they see a line? If you wait, you can TRUST the results. HPTS are expensive unless your using the cheapies. If you test 8 or 9 days p.o. you are not likely to get accurate results. If you wait til you AT LEAST missed your period you don't have to squint to try to see a vvfl

@mhbb3, You didn’t say posting it you said taking it. Some people just don’t like to wait and taking tests eases their nerves even if it’s negative. I took tests before I missed a period and I got some negatives and that still calmed my nerves just to take it. You don’t always have to buy expensive tests and I would use cheap ones until I missed my period then use the better ones. I’m not gonna argue but I don’t think you should tell people not to do something just because you wouldn’t do it. It’s not hurting anyone and it’s hard to wait.

the only reason I bring it up is bc I see how unhappy SOME women are. This is my opinion and the reason I feel this way is because I've been there. You don't have to agree with me. I just feel it's unhealthy especially when a user post a negative test and people tell them there is a line with it's clear there is not.

If you wait until you miss your period, the hcg is high enough you can trust what you see. My reason is not bc "I wouldn't do it".

I definitely agree! I stopped early testing and it most certainly helped with my stress level. It's a little difficult for me with super irregular periods, but I always wait until I'm at least 14DPO before I test!
