I’m washing everything not just clothes

Think of it this way: Clothes are insanely filthier before you ever buy them than they are between typical washes and yet you wouldn't ask if you should wash the clothes you wore out all day. Yes you should wash ANY new clothes you buy, regardless of who they're for. They're nasty.

I did. And used specialized baby soap. Just in case baby has sensitive skin. I also washed her crib sheet set, all covers/blankets, and swing fabric.

I do. Because you don't know what the clothes went through to be delivered to the store.

My bff did and still does. Even for her own clothes & her husbands. I don’t lol
