I don't know if I'm being negative but it feels very.... Annoying that my SILs ask my husband for help, knowing he's more than willing to, and I'm glad he is, but then forget about me. So this is the third day in a row he's being asked to drive people to London, people who by the way are 40 and been driving since they were 18, they're asking him to leave evening and come back 2am for the third night in a row. I'm incredibly sleep deprived by this point because my kids somehow sense dad isn't home and wake up MULTIPLE times. And then I'm still up with the kids early because obvs he's come home stupid'o'clock. And here's the thing, if this was all to help baby and baby's mum and dad, I wouldn't ever be annoyed, in fact the first time I sent him off with special food cooked for baby's dad. It's the fact that they're just using him as a driver to visit hospital and forgetting he has a family too. And the icing on the cake for me was his sister calling up and saying thank you to him for everything done, saying how she knows he has 2 young kids at home and he's still helped out. Okay. He's been able to do that because his wife has handled everything on that side and sometimes it would be nice to be appreciated. Like yes, I'm thier mother, I'm supposed to look after them, but dunno why dad gets a pat on the back for it and I'm left like, well yeah that's your job. Oh and being made to feel bad because I left my kids with my husband for 2 hours so I could help out my niece in the recovery room. I got told, you should probably head back, the kids are going too mental and he can't really handle too much. I dunno. Stupid selfish rant and I'm more than happy for people to tell me I'm being selfish. I just Urgh.... Wish sometimes people gave mothers a word of encouragement too and didn't just see it as expected that they're at home looking after the kids.
