How did you break your toddlers from the bottle? Our daughter is so attached that if I take it away for even ten minutes she loses her mind and has a tantrum. She's very strong willed and if I refuse to give the bottle to her she continues the fits I've gone up to an hour of refusing to give the bottle while offering her a sippy cup during this time and she refuses to drink from any of her sippy cups. She only wants the bottle and idk what to do at this point

I’d also like to know this. At 26 months my son will still not give up a bottle and it drives me crazy. We’ve had a super hot summer and he won’t drink unless it’s from a bottle and I’m not about to let him dehydrate. I’ve tried sippy cups, normal cups, non leak cups, beakers, straw cups you name it. I’ve spent £££££ on all sorts. He just plays with them and thinks they’re toys.
He will drink out of a fruit shoot, but that’s it

We found a sippy (shaped like bottle) that had 3 tops. Nipple, soft tip and straw. Gave my girl the nipple cups for a few weeks then changed the top. It's like she didn't even notice.

Our pediatrician recommended we go “cold turkey” if the sippy cup transition didn’t work. Our son eats a lot of yogurt to replace the milk he doesn’t take in.

@1xmom, forgot to mention we hid all bottles and nipples from sight to prevent melt down

@mommyjen I'm trying the cold turkey trick right now, have the bottle hidden, and I'm offering her all different sippy cup types from soft tip sippy to straw cup, a 360° drink cup and a hard tip sippy... Just trying to get her off the bottle

I threw them in the trash,so I wouldn’t have a choice but to deal with the meltdowns until he took a cup.
TAKE THEM AWAY ASAP! My 2 year old has to have surgery in August to have caps and fillings put on ALL of his teeth, because of the bottle.
