@kellyjc we're going to give it a chance and hope for the best, it seems like he's being serious about counseling and getting his life together. Doesn't hurt to try, but I'm also not a door mat nor a half way house so you can bet your ass one fuck up and he's out, one chance only. I know its harsh but we literally moved to Oklahoma and had nothing. We went from living in the car to a motel room to now having jobs and a house of our own in all of 4 months. I'm not going to let him ruin that.
Get everything in writing, like your expectations while he lives with you guys, and if it’s temporary when he needs to be out by. With him living with you guys, you guys can’t legally kick him out, you have to give him an eviction notice.
@x_graveyard_baby_x, that I’m not sure on, but I’m just thinking if he were to get picked up by the police or something, and they see his stuff at your house, they are going to tell you that will have to properly evict him.
@x_graveyard_baby_x, and I would see what the leasing would do if they found out if he was living there. I would hate for all of you to be evicted because of it.

@kellyjc my fiance wants to move his brother in with us. It wouldn't be an issue but he's been battling drug addiction.

We have a lot of resources out here that can help him, I'm just hoping for the sake of my growing family that he takes it seriously.

@penelope127 we are renting through a private owner and ou landlord really only ever comes by just to collect rent
