The car
Whenever we go anywhere in the car my almost 5 month old screams and cries the entire way there and home. I make sure he's fed and changed before we leave and when we get where we are going as soon as I pull him out of the car seat he's fine. I've tried getting a activity toy on his seat, his older brother has tried playing with him and nothing helps. What can I do because it's driving me insane. PLEASE HELP!!!!

My 5 month old does the same exact thing . He has done it from 2 months , drives me crazy !! All of my friends that have babies or older ones says there's done the exact thing. Hopefully when mine gets in a different car seat he will stop !

My son loves his car mirror. It has a stuffed owl attached to it and he just stares at it. Or we give him a toy and he plays with it the entire time. Good luck.

I have been having the same issue for about 2 months now!! I don't know what to do anymore! All she wants is out of her seat. But that's not happening when we are driving.

My son is the exact same way! Somehow he sorta grew out of it, I give him his paci and he is fine. Also a have a Tiny Love Mobile I used to hang on his infant seat, and that seemed to relax him as well. (Now using a convertible car seat) He actually started to fall asleep with it on. My boyfriend and I go everywhere together. So we alternate who also rides along in the back seat with him, it also keeps him calm. The baby might have anxiety being alone back there, and seeing no one. I honestly don't know why that happens, but I have noticed he still continues to cry when I drive to the store alone with him in the back. Eh, most likely anxiety... ?

My daughter did that. She started at birth and finally stopped at 4 months. She just outgrew it. On occasion she still has a meltdown but not like before. I downloaded an app with a vacuum notice and stuff but it only helped for a short time. I asked this in another mommy group I'm in and basically they just eventually outgrow it

Maybe your baby is uncomfortable in the car seat. This happened to us and as soon as we adjusted the harness, she's been fine. We moved the harness up to the next height slot and also the one near her crotch. She loves the car now that we stay on top of the straps.

My daughter is just starting to tolerate the car now at 5 months. I found that singing to her distracts her and even makes her fall asleep. And no, it's not my amazing voice...because I'm terrible. She also likes certain songs when I play them on the car stereo.
Not sure if you've introduced a sippy cup yet, but my sister inlaw found that giving my nephew a cup of water distracted him and made car rides tolerable.
Good luck!

My son is 5 months and has screamed in his seat since week 4. We have tried everything...a toy bar, someone riding with him in the back, music. I even switched him to a convertible car seat thinking that might help. Nope! Hopefully soon our babies will outgrow this. It breaks my heart when he gets so upset back there?

My little one has started doing this also. He has been getting really hot in his car seat so I try putting him in clothing that isn't going to make him sweat and crack the window for him.

When we get back from my MILs house over spring break I'll get him a convertible car seat. I've tried sitting back there, my 6 year old usually is in the car with us and in the back with the baby so I know he's not lonely lol. He won't take a binkie but that probably would help. My older son used a binkie as a baby and I never had car seat issues with him. Thanks for everyone's advice and I'll let y'all know how the convertible car seat works out!

It's sad, but a relief, to know that I'm not the only one! It makes me feel terrible! I've tried everything too... Some car rides have been okay lately so I'm hoping this is the light at the end of the tunnel
