When you have one kid with you and you don’t have to worry about keeping up with 4 others, you do Times Square at midnight in the pouring rain! ☔️ .

💫 NYC! It was real! 💫 💕Well... this is something I intend to start doing with all of our kids - ONE on ONE, special alone time. With 5 kids it’s tough to make sure you’re everything for everyone all the time. It’s impossible. We do the best we can and *seem* (if I can say so) to be raising pretty good kids (fingers crossed!). Whenever we can get solo time with the kids, we savior it because it doesn’t happen too often. This weekend we took William with us to NYC. Just William. Even driving to NYC was different, we actually got to TALK! Spending one on one time for 24 hours with him was awesome! We took him to all the places we used to go with him when he was a baby (we moved to RI when he was 18 months old) and just enjoyed showering every ounce of attention on him. If you have the chance to do solo things with your kids, do it! It really was a ton of fun!
