Hi I’m Najah, I’ll be a first time mom. I’m 23 and looking forward to starting my masters. Have anyone felt scared, nervous and exciting at the same time?
@mecca33, yeah that sounds like a good plan. And in the meantime just plan it all out. You have a great future ahead of you with that career
@24najahali, thanks. I'm in the medical field.. I have a year to complete my RN, but I'm looking at getting my BS in business administration with a concentration in healthcare administration since business was my first choice. Kind of like having the best of both worlds. Want to start now, but being baby is due late Oct/ early Nov. I want to adjust to her first.
@mecca33, also I waited a year, thinking it’ll take me longer to decide to go back but after this past year it just happened and I went for it. If you’re not sure just do plenty of research on different career paths even looking into classes to see what you see yourself doing, that should help you make your decision
@mecca33, I’m going back for strategic communication which will allow me to get into the advertising, public relations and marketing field. It’s very broad so this program along with internships should help me figure out what path a I should go first. I’ve even been considering health communication
@24najahali, if you don't mind me asking what are you studying? I'm on the fence of what to go back for and when. Thanks in advance.
Absolutely I did but when I gave birth to my son in May it was so surreal.. but I have to say I wouldn’t trade it in for anything in the world
@nschlegel, thanks. It’s sudden so it’s a lot to get together. I’m going to need a lot of advice so I’m glad a joined. I also deal with the same thing so I understand.
Thanks again
@24najahali, thanks! Good luck to you!
