Depends how it goes. Csection patients stay longer around 2-3 however I refused. After delivering I spent the night then the next day I was all but running up and down the halls, showered myself and was ready to leave. Doc set me free the next morning so i only stayed a full day. Second time I had preeclampsia so I HAD to stay 2 days no matter what. But on the third morning I was out the door. I know vaginal deliveries stay 1-2 days unless they had some excessive tearing and had stitches.
For c section the first time they kept me 4 days, this time around same thing dr said 2 days. He said only reason they would keep you for longer is if there are any complications.
First was vaginal. Checked in sun night to be induced and didn’t leave till Friday. I lost almost half my blood and needed a transfusion. Second was section. Had surgery mon morning and left Friday morning. I also lost a lot of blood again and needed to be monitored longer. Refused a transfusion the second time.

Depends. I went in on a Thursday morning left on Sunday morning. They wanted to make sure baby was okay.

@vvrobinson, good to know! I’m gonna try this, see if my doctor will let me go earlier, I hate staying at the hospital.

I would say about 2 nights 3 days for vaginal if everything is okay. I never heard of 24 hours.
