My child has been driving me nuts this week. She doesn't like when something else has my attention (phone calls, writing, reading one of MY books, etc...) But lately I can't even wash dishes or use the bathroom or walk down the hall 🤦🏽♀️ She's never been like this. She cries and throws herself in the floor wanting to be picked up. She's not sick or anything. Anyone else have these problems at this age? Is it normal behavior or a phase?
@mulatto_mama, my way of dealing with it, is finding a way to make bed time sooner than later, no but really it’s tough, it seems like it depends on the moment as to what works.
@santistevanmommie . What did you do? I feel cruel just leaving her there to throw her tantrum but I don't want to reward that behavior with what she wants.
@mamabunnzzz . Mine is almost 2 but I don't want to keep picking her up or she'll think it's okay to act that way for attention.
It could be a phase. My daughter has went through it a few times. All she’ll want is me and my attention. Sometimes she doesn’t.
my 6 month old is already acting like this! Everytime she’s in her playpen/walker and I walk away from her it’s a fit. Throwing her arms up herself back and kicking her legs!
@mulatto_mama, I leave her to cry. I talk to her and say you’re okay. You’re not hurt, you don’t need to act that way and mommy will be right back. Sometimes she’ll stop and sometimes she doesn’t. It sucks to have to leave them to cry, I hate it but it helps build their independence.
