So I’m back trying to potty training my daughter and I’m sticking to it this time. Tips on potty training little girls?
@mcswain, stickers are great too. Or if she likes peanuts or whatever small thing she likes. Make a potty chat too and she can put a sticker on it every day of no accidents and at the end of the week she can do something big, like bowling, or buy a $5 toy or something along those lines.
@bigmama18md, ok I will do that. I cheer for her but don’t give her treats only because idk what to give her she not big on sweets
When she poops and pees on the potty give her a treat. I gave my kids 1 m&m for a pee and two for a poop. Also cheering excessively. Made it easy.
@reeahsoblessed, I do that sometimes but this child of mine will pee and poop in the floor.
@mbelton5, I just set my timer on my phone for 30 minuets. That’s another thing staying consistent and when she go to her grandparents they don’t encourage her to go potty
At first we got a seat and put it beside the toilet to see if she was interested in it. Everytime I went to the bathroom she came running ready to use it so that might help as wel
The main thing is staying consistent & don’t rush the process. If someone else keeps her at times (like grandma) make sure everybody is on the right page. When my daughter uses the bathroom we make a big deal out of it so she gets so excited about being a big girl. Ask about every 30 minutes if she has to go potty.
I'm going to start potty training this week.... My older girls were so easy so I'm hoping she will be to. What I did was let them just wear underwear and kept putting them on it every so often or whenever I had to go so they knew it was a good thing. We also did a sticker chart
@bigmama18md, ok I told my husband go get some stuff when he get off work I have to get this done before I have the baby
