Rant! My ob is seriously pissing me off... When I got diagnosed with GD he told me I will not be going to 40 weeks ... I am 37+2 weeks yesterday he did a cervical check and I am not dilated yet he said I was just soft but closed whatever that means....so then he tells me I might be going to 40 weeks!!!? And the reason I'm mad is because I thought it was unsafe? For my baby? He told me he's going on vacation so I feel like he's pushing this back because of his vacation 😒...

I heard it’s unsafe when on medication for it. My last I wasn’t scheduled to be induced until I had to take pills to help control it, my GD was diet controlled for a long time, but then went a bit crazy at the end.

I have gd & take pills for it. It’s still not managed. The pills were working at first, now they’re not. My ob says induction at 39 weeks because it’s “uncontrolled” so idk if it’s because I’m taking pills or it’s because it’s not helping.. I believe either way there are possible complications:/ however, I think early induction is mostly based on the baby’s estimated weight.. that’s what I was told by the nurse anyway.. so, if your gd is controlled & your babes is measuring fine, they let you go the 40 weeks. 🤷🏼♀️

I have GD. My OB told I will be getting induced at 39 weeks . I checked with 3 or 4 different doctors and they all gave me the same answer as my OB.

I have GD and was told that as long as baby isn’t growing excessively and it’s under control (with diet or medication) if baby is okay and your NST are okay you will go full term. The induction thing is outdated (per my dr)

If your diabetes is controlled, there is no need to induce. Your baby is doing very important things in there right now. Let baby bake.
