Uggg im so upset mamas. Im at my OB fallow up and the GPS sent the insurance driver to the wrong address. Then i go to the normal office i normally go to. As im on my way i open my my chart file and try to find the other address that i go to. As im clicking threw my charts. I read that two-tree different charts say im high risk pregnancy-second trimester. Like wtf? Why didn't the OB tell me? Whats going on? Why am i high risk? Is my baby okay? So im sitting here in the OB office waiting to see the OB they squeezed me in to see because I needed a fallow up after the er visit on the 18th. Thankfully the nurse administrator was by and heard i was upset and told the respetionist to put fit me in now.. So im feeling angry nervous, scared, worried.... 😭😭😭😭😭😟😡

Did you get an explanation as to the high risk statement in your chart?
Sorry that you’re not being kept in the loop. I’m having some issues with my dr not letting me know things until I question her about things in my results. I hope you get some answers soon!

I’m sorry they didn’t explain until you had to ask. Unfortunately, the dr only knows what is presented while we are in the office, sadly. My SIL had preeclampsia and thought that the high blood pressure she experienced was only in office due as well. She had to have an emergency c section 6 weeks early and we almost lost both my SIL and niece that day.
Please monitor at home if possible, as your health is soooooo important right now!

@angelbrownell26 high blood pressure is the biggest sign, but also sudden swelling, excessive swelling, and protein in your urine. To test at home you would need to buy a blood pressure cuff. They don't know you well enough to take your word that your blood pressure is only high due to anger... take it as being better safe than sorry, pre-eclampsia can kill both mom and baby

Along with the signs listed by@ohnstadk, please be sure to pay attention for headaches, becoming lightheaded, unexplained dizziness, disorientation, and heart palpitations.
My SIL experienced some of these, and I was recently asked by my dr if I had been experiencing any of those symptoms even though my blood pressure has been relatively low. In order for me to monitor blood pressure at home, we went and purchased a home blood pressure kit at Walmart. The instructions come in the box, and you can check multiple times a day, if you choose to. Preeclampsia isn’t only high blood pressure, unfortunately. It also includes women who routinely have dangerous spikes in blood pressure, as those spikes can result in damage to blood vessels throughout the body.
It’s well worth the investment in a monitor for at home if there’s a chance you are dealing with eclampsia.

Honestly, I can’t tell you what they will do. My SIL was on medicine and monitored more closely, she was also asked to lower her sodium intake, stress, and anything she knew would raise her blood pressure. I’ve also heard bed rest is an option. Each doctor evaluated each individual situation and creates a plan from there, as I understand. I know things like caffeine and stress raise blood pressure, so if you can decrease either or both of those, as well as sodium intake, those are steps in the right direction. Also, communicate with your dr frequently, as they are much more knowledgeable on how to lower or limit the effects of eclampsia.
I check in frequently, as well, so feel free to dm me if you ever want to vent or ask questions. I know I’m not a medical professional, but I’ll answer to the best of my ability, and from my experiences.
