I want to try for a natural birth this time. My epi failed both times so this time I'm going to skip…

BREATHING! It sounds weird but I just accepted the pain of contractions and pushing. I tried my best to breathe through the contractions and kept reminding myself that my body was made for it. Every time I got a contraction I took deep breaths and it seemed to help alot. I've delivered two babies med free and completely natural (not by choice lol) epidural wasn't an option for me. You got this girll!

If yours failed wouldnt it count for natural?? Cause you felt the pain and everything?? Id count it 😌

Stay relaxed, breathing thru. It hurts but if you go with it rather than resist it you'll have an easier time.

You can take a natural birthing course they will show you all positions to labor in. My hospital had a lot of tools like birthing balls, peanut ball, n20, tens unit. You can also try laboring in water if hospital has a bath, but even a shower on your back could feel good. You can also have parter or nurse apply counter pressure for back labor.

There's so many tricks.

I focused on the end result. The pain is temporary is something I told myself a bazillion times. When they told me I was ready to push, i had so much relief and adrenaline flowing that I barely remember any pain after they said that. I think I noticed a little when he crowned and that was it.

Still definitely thought I was going to die during labor though 😂 But part of that was I was confined to my bed during the worst of it because of my BP and they were trying to monitor him consistently. So that made the worst part of labor even more awful.

it did fail. both times. I felt everything and it ended in an emergency c section. I wasn't prepared for the pain and I just list it. This time I know more about what I'm in for and since my Dr said vbac is possible, I'd like to try

@mhbb3 im sorry you had a rough experience. I had two csections and I absolutely loved them. I had a chance to vbac but didnt want to. If you want to go without the extra poke then why the hell not!! Go for it! You already know what the pain is like, youll just save yourself some time and not get an unnecessary procedure😅

You are right. I think having the epidural just made it worse when it failed. I also feel like he wasn't ready to come but my in insisted. Tbh I'm scared I won't progress on my own and baby will get stuck.

@mhbb3 labor is terrifying. Theres too many unknowns. Never know what to expect or how things will end up. Just stay positive and think of the best case scenario. Either way you will have your precious baby in your arms in the end
