My two year old is a little on the babyish side and he doesn't understand that baby brother is coming. He doesn't hardly say any words and talks constantly but it is babble. He doesn't understand. Any suggestions on how to try and prepare him? I am about to get him a baby doll and I talk to him a lot about baby brother, he just doesn't get it..

Talk to him about him first about how you grew him in your belly. and tell him stories about when he was a baby. What things he liked to eat or hear or watch. I'm only going by what I told my son. I taught him that I made him and that he grows fast and how small he used to be. I showed him his old clothes or toys and he got it real fast. Now I was not expecting a baby but I liked teaching him about where he came from. I have a voice recoding on my phone of him when he was two telling me a story and the story was of how he was so small he was in my belly till he grew and popped out lol I never told him he popped out but that's how he imagined he got out I guess lol but now he's 5 and I'm expecting and now he knows a little more about how it comes out. Your son may not talk much but he will understand more then you think if it's just part of your conversation with time. Can you show him a shirt he wore when he was few days old and tell him he used to be that small when he was born?
