Do you ever spend time with just one child? When I was a kid (I’m one of 4) my parents would have “special nights” with each of us. It was the only one on one time that we ever got! Having five kids of my own, I can tell you right now… I never (ever ever) get alone time with just one of them for an extended period of time.

This weekend we’re taking our big guy away for the weekend! I have a work event in New York City, so it works perfectly! We’re off to the Big Apple with our NYC kid! William was born in New York City and spent the first 18 months of his life there, so we’ve always joked that he’s a New Yorker. I’m excited to have someone on one time with our oldest son over the next few days. Time definitely doesn’t stand still, so it’s becoming more and more obvious that he’s getting older and older. I mean - he’s not a good 6 inches taller than me! What!!!??? .

Sharing on the blog today all about why it’s important to have that one on one time your children. If I close my eyes real tight I can remember the little kid that would never leave my side. 😭 .
