Hey everyone!! I just got my urine test back and the found a trace of protein and a trace of blood. For reference I’m 29 weeks. Is this common? My doctor hasn’t called me to talk about the results do I’m guessing she isn’t worried. I don’t know what to make of this lol

Trace amounts of both are normal in pregnancy. Our kidneys are working extra hard, which can cause the trace of protein, when it gets to a certain amount is when it can cause concern. For blood, a trace amount can really be due to almost any irritation. Take it easy! Your doctor will call if she is concerned :). I had trace amounts of protein before and it wasn’t even mentioned, I was just told it came back normal.

I had blood detected in my urine. They said it could be caused by something as simple as having had sex recently to something as extreme as passing a kidney stone. I never had any pain and I didn’t have a UTI. It cleared up on its own. My next urine test was completely fine.
