Anyone else have their first kid young? I'm turning 22 during my pregnancy and just graduated…

I did. You can do it, just may take a little time. I didn't have any support and was far away from family so it took a bit longer to get back on track but it's definitely a temporary phase as long as you stay focused

And by the way I was 19 turning 20 the next month, had the baby my second year of college

I got pregnant a month after turning 21. Derailed my college plans due to me moving back home so I can be closer to family. I took a break & I did online classes. I now hold 2 associates degrees and a certification. But... I'm now, also, a SAHM. Lol

My son is now 6 years old.

@nschlegel did you get your degrees while you were at home? Because I have mine and he doesn't, we're thinking after I'll go work and he'll stay home so he can watch our son and also do online classes. If that's how you did it, was it really hard to concentrate and get done?

@liebleind96 I did most (all but 2 semesters) of my 2 associates online (1 for business management and 1 for business marketing) then my certification (registered medical assistant) was done in class.

It wasn't as difficult to concentrate as most would think, to be honest. I did more at night. I also had very easy child. He slept, woke up to eat, then went back to bed. So concentrating on work and house work wasn't as bad as I anticipated.

I got pregnant at 17 my last year in hs. I wouldn’t say my baby “derailed” my plans it’s just harder and a little more stressing! :) good luck you guys got this!

I got pregnant 7 months after graduating college

I got pregnant at 16. With hard work I managed to get my bachelors. Took 5 1/2 years but I got it done. You can go still go to grad school and get a career you want. Things will just be a little harder! I have faith in you.

I got pregnant with my first a week before turning 19. My pregnancy didn’t stop me at all. Especially not my husband (boyfriend at the time) we both went to college full time until I couldn’t cuz I was about to pop. After that I started working full time as well as him and going to school. Now I’m going on 22 in a few days with baby number 2. Both husband and I are in school full time online and working as managers full time at a restaurant. So I know it’s not easy but it’s not impossible either you can do it if you just believe in yourself. A baby will never ruin your plans or stop them they will just make you strong and something to fight for at the end of the day to better yourself for them.

I'm 18 and I got pregnant the first time at 17, due to circumstances out of my control I was forced to drop out of my senior year of highschool. We lost that baby so I went into a major depression state for awhile. After I turned 18 I re enrolled in a progressive school for students who got behind for barious reasons and finished in 2 months. I am currently working on my finishing my AA as I am on my way to my Master's in Psychology.

I was 23 but I don't necessarily consider that young. My husband had just gotten out of the military and was just starting college. He went to college full time while our son was a baby and a toddler. I had gotten my bachelors degree at 22 but had already been working in my field for a few years so I just continued to work full time. You'll make it work!

I had my first at 16... I turned down my college scholarships. I eventually went back to school after having my second at 18. I was a single parent and had to take alternative routes. It was a challenge but I made it through. I’m sure you will too.

I’m 20.

I got pregnant with my first at 18 and had him at 19 ... I was only 5 months out of high school when I found out I was pregnant but after he was here I started doing college online....it wasn’t hard to be honest. My son was a very good baby! He would sit with me while I did my work or would be with his dad, he never gave me a hard time! I believe if u really set your mind to it , you guys can get it done❤️ I found out I was pregnant with this baby at 22 and I just turned 23 in June. And once he is here I’ll be doing school again online for a different career path! You guys will do great!! And congratulations 👣

Mine was 14

I was pregnant with my first daughter at 18 and was 19 when I had her, now I’m 21 having my second ❤️❤️ I’m also in nursing school
